The Association of Sewing Pattern Historians (ASPH) is dedicated to the preservation and research of sewing patterns of all forms and formats throughout history.

Members are passionate about their craft, their extensive personal libraries, and their chosen fields of specialization.

Membership is granted as a recognition of excellence in pattern research and knowledge by the ASPH Board of Directors.

This blog will be a forum for members and aspiring collectors to share their knowledge, experience, discoveries and resources with the world at large. In this safe space, pattern hoarder is not a shameful title, but one to take pride in.

Side effects of reading from this blog may include:

  • pattern envy
  • heavy breathing
  • the uncontrollable urge to hoard patterns
  • a strong thirst for more...
